Located on an underutilized site near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, this mixed-use project creates a new arts center combining gallery space, cooperative artist studios and office space for arts-focused non-profit organizations. The center is organized with street-level gallery space, an events hall and gardens to activate the Flushing Avenue corridor. Flexible and adaptable artist studio spaces are situated above the gallery and office space occupies the top floors. A boardformed concrete framework establishes the structure with deep recesses along the facade to create a range of outdoor garden spaces and solid brick walls infill the open framework, defining studio spaces on the interior.

The modular structure allows for the varied programs to be flexibly integrated to provide for simulatneous separation and connections.
